Second Life Weekly Review

I am starting a new segment on the Second Life Update blog where I review the week in Second Life particularly the best posts of the week on this blog as well as reflect on Second Life in general.

1. Quite a few Events in Second Life – In this post I highlighted a few great events in the Second Life virtual world and drew attention to the fact that the Sims in Second Life still only allow maybe 30 to 60 people before the server begins to crash and everything shuts down. Can you one day image an event where hundreds or thousands of virtual people are dancing and listening to a live concert? Maybe some day.

2. The Second Life Architecture Working Group continues to meet to determine the standards and the fate of the virtual Second Life world. Is this an honest attempt at open communication or a devious data mining plan?

3. The new Second Life land auction system – The new system is created by EBay because, well, other software companies make better software than Linden Labs.

4. Update on the Internet Explorer Second Life exploit – the very scary Microsoft related identity theft arama continues and how far has it already penetrated the virtual world of Second Life?

continued soon……
