Google Lively API Will Allow Developers to Create Content, and Even Entirely New 3d Games
In Google Lively you can embed YouTube videos, weather reports, or any other Google Gadgets. Soon developers will have access to an API for creating elements for Google Lively. Google wants a virtual arcade where developers can use the Google Lively API to create games in the virtual world.
Eventually entire 3D games could be created with the Google Lively platform. Plugins for 3d programs such as Maya, SketchUp 3D, 3ds Max, and other character modeling and 3d animation programs for use in Google Lively already exist.
I really expect big things and some major competition from Google Lively.
