I hope you had a happy Veterans Day. I spent mine camping outside with the family. We need to take this special time to remember the men and women who have sacrificed for our country. Second Life celebrated as well raising funds for Operation Uplink. Operation Uplink is a non-profit that provides phone cards for veterans and deployed military.

The events include a virtual Veterans Wall which accepts submissions of names of fallen soldiers. Veterans Day activities continue through November 14, 2009 in Second Life at the Point Harbor virtual sim in Second Life.
