- Herman Melville
For the sea lover the mainland of Second Life is but a temporary home. Their real home is the open waters of the sea. That is why they rejoice with the creation of the Blake Sea near the coast of Nautilus. This nautical wonderland will be 40 regions wide and include scripted boats and planes as well as islands to explore and scuba diving.
The United Sailing Sims group contributed to the creation of this large sea faring community. The USS includes 9 private sims with over one hundred and thirty regions dedicated to sailing, yachts, and more.
“All that is told of the sea has a fabulous sound to an inhabitant of the land, and all its products have a certain fabulous quality, as if they belonged to another planet, from seaweed to a sailor’s yarn, or a fish story. In this element the animal and vegetable kingdoms meet and are strangely mingled.” – Henry David Thoreau
