Second Life Update Weekly Review Part 2
Here is Part 2 of the Second Life Update Weekly Review. This new segment on the Second Life Update blog highlights the best and greatest posts of the week adding in new commentary and summarizing and drawing your attention to important or interesting details you may have missed:
1. The Second Life Terms of Service was updated by Linden Labs. The most important part was additional legal protection for Linden Labs and Second Life particularly that claims under $10,000 must be handled by an arbitrator. Linden Labs is truly pulling out all the stops to protect themselves. Everything from a gambling ban in Second Life, to a crackdown on inappropriate behavior, and a more powerful age verification is all an effort for Linden Labs to watch their back.
2. Did you miss the American Cancer Society Fashion Show in Second Life? It was truly a great event and for a very worthy cause. The avatar models were even cancer survivor patients. Bravo American Cancer Society for using Second Life as it should be used.
3. I am pleased to see some religion penetrating the secular and underworld lifestyle of the Second Life game with the creation of the Virtual St. Francis Basilica in Second Life. I have visited both the real St. Francis Basilica and the virtual St. Francis Basilica and I recommend highly that you see both for yourself.
