Second Life Mono script accelerator converts .NET to Linux

In the midst of slower and slower performance with more and more features, Second Life is trying to speed things up with Mono script accelerator. Mono is in beta and is designed to increase performance and stability of scripts in Second Life. Mono is basically a compiler (uh oh Java Alert!). Mono runs .NET on Linux and Unix and other platforms. The LSL virtual machines and Mono machines will hopefully make things run faster. In a very stupid move, Mono Beta will also be tested in the same place as the Havok4 Beta so if one goes down both do. Linden supposidly did not change their Linden Scripting Language. So far Mono looks to be up to two hundred and twenty times faster than LSL2.
