I use Second Life Exchange for all currency transactions. There terminals are all over Second Life and once $L is deposited it immediately shows up in the online account. I can then sell the L$ and withdrawl US$ via paypal for a small fee. The process usually takes 1-2 business days but is much cheaper and faster than the Linden Exchange from Second Life.
