Mega Prims Removed

One of the most effective ways to build a fast loading building in Second Life is to use oversized jumbo sized prims. These mega prims are not allowed and are over ten meters. Linden Labs has prevented the creation of new mega prims but the existing mega prims are being copied and distributed. Linden Labs will shortly be removing all mega prims from Second Life which is a major disappointment for builders. This is a real shame. I really wish Second Life would just improve their functionality so the need for mega prims would not be there. Another disappointment is that Linden Labs limits comments on their blog articles to 150 comments.

  1. I thought seconflife says it is a world created for and by the residents. What you can imagine you can create. Each sim has its own rules. now that the residents have found a way to cut back and use less prim, the makers of this world are now changing the rules to suit them self’s. Just like in real life. When people follow the rules and find ways to use them to their advantage and the rules makers starts to lose they what to change the rules, saying oh yes but we didn’t mean that you could do that. Typical of any business where their own rules are used against them, they will change them to make the common person to conform. Master slave has not died long live suppression
