IBM working with Linden Labs has teleported avatars from the Second Life Preview Grid into the OpenSim server system

In a very interesting announcement, IBM working with Linden Labs has teleported avatars from the Second Life Preview Grid into the OpenSim server system. This will allow avatars to pass from one world to another.

Of course no assets such as skins, objects, or anything really was transfered. What does this mean? Well the avatar name was transfered and login informaiton. Hmm. So how do we know it was transfered and not just a duplicate temporarily recreated?
