Second Life Locations & Landmarks Made Easy with Social Bookmarking from TE.LEPORT.ME

| More

One of the more frustrating things about a virtual world is not knowing where to go in Second Life. It can also be a little bit difficult to create a landmark in Second Life and manage the locations. TE.LEPORT.ME solves that problem by bringing social bookmarking to Second Life. The site is similar to Delicious or other social bookmarking sites. It is easy to use and save and tag SLurl or Second Life locations to your account and share it. This is accomplished via a hud in game.

Import Second Life Landmarks & Locations SLurls

The TE.LEPORT.ME HUD was created by Luc Aubret of aubreTEC Labs. Currently you can sort by title, region, and date. There is no limit on the number of folders or bookmarks. You can also import landmarks and SLurls.  The only drawback that I can see is that it costs L$350. Now this is only about $1 US but still that is something. It should be free.

Hey, thanks for having a look.

Just so you know, we will be working on a free version of the hud, we’ve just been thinking about the best way to do it. Most likely, we’ll do a version of the hud that just features the bookmarking buttons.

Unless somebody wants to keep me on salary to just make SL stuff all day long; then I’d be happy to give everything away for free! Takers? Takers?

@Luc
Thanks for your comment. The great thing about a free product is that it can spread even more quickly. Just look at the other social bookmarking and services like Twitter. You may want to look at attracting venture capital or trying to make your service so highly used that Linden Lab wants to buy you out just like Xstreet SL.

Oh and in addition to my other reply to you; what do you think about making a howto YouTube video? We would love to show it here.
