Sigh – Stupid Lawsuits Are Getting Annoying
Second Life has seen it’s share of stupid lawsuits. From Taser suing Linden Lab and Everyone Else in Second Life (which was dismissed) to a Lawsuit over virtual land in Second Life (this one was settled out of court).
Stupid lawsuits are being taken to an all time level as Kevin Alderman Strokerz Toyz/Eros LLC is trying to start a class action lawsuit against Linden Lab and Second Lifen over some copyright infringement and knockoffs of his SexGen sex bed. Shannon Grie of Nomine has joined over virtual clothing designs.
Guess What? You Made Millions of Dollars – Go After the Theifs Not the Company that Made You Rich!
This is so ridiculous. Second Life was a new marketplace that allowed these virtual businesses and others to make millions of dollars. And now instead of bothering to report or sue the actual theives they are suing the company that made their millions of dollars possible?
This is NOT a stupid lawsuit. When Linden Lab owns and administers the entire virtual world environment in which these vendors operate, they have an obligation to uphold the terms of service that they publish. If the Lindens are found to not do their jobs as policeman of their grid, they should pay.

Thank you for your comment. It is a stupid lawsuit. Do you sue the United States or MAC when someone infringes on the computer software you made on the infrastructure of the internet using MAC hardware and software? Besides it says several places in the terms of service (that every user agrees to) that Linden Lab is not liable for anything.

I see he’s pleating again, as a box of stuff got passed around at burning life. Not much simpathy here, when you sell over priced items, what do you expect. Someone who self proclaims to be the Hugh Heffner of SL and calls himself stroker69 doesn’t get the sympathy card from me I’m afraid. His wife must be so proud (NOT)
He makes litterally millions out of SL, bitches and moans like fuck about the company, takes the company court, continures to exploit the company by using a wooful, pity mongoling ploy to furthure market his product is just, well, …..pathetic
