Order Real Life Flowers by Previewing them in Second Life? Imagine ordering real life flowers in Second Life by browsing virtual gardens at 1-800 Flowers to select the perfect arrangement.

1-800 Flowers is entering Second Life. 1-800 Flowers is kicking off their virtual presence with a photo contest of any Second Life flowers along with a 100 word essay. The deadline for the submission is October 1, 2007 at 8:00 PM. The top 5 Second Life flower photographs will be incorporated into a 15 foot screen video shown in real life Time Square in New York City. A grand prize winner will be announced on October 19, 2007 at 3:00 PM. This is one of the few marketing Second Life launches I have seen so far that seems like it will be successful.

I can just imagine ordering real life flowers for my sweetie in Second Life by browsing virtual gardens at 1-800 Flowers sim and picking out the perfect arrangement.
