But with all steps forward often comes a few step backwards.

It’s A Long Road Ahead for OpenSim:

Over one hundred Open Simulator regions are still recovering from a virtualization exploit attack on HyperVM management software that brought down OpenSim regions and much data including inventory was lost. In many ways it is natural for OpenSim to struggle with Stability and backup issues much as Second Life has had to deal with. It is only natural and should lead to more improvements and better backup redundancy in the long run.
