Nokia and IBM are creating a virtual reality conference system in Second Life. The system uses cameras mounted on your head and incorporates actions and objects into Second Life. Charles Woodward from the VTT Technical Research Center of Finland is leading the project. Check out the below video demonstration of the Augmented Collaboration in Mixed Environments.
