A new request for a class action lawsuit has been submitted. Evans et al vs Linden Lab was applied for by Carl Evans, Valerie Spencer, Cindy Carter, and Donald Spencer.

At issue is Linden Lab establishing that virtual items are the property and owned by users and Linden Dollars are a currency. Linden Lab then began reversing that stance instead claiming to grant only “limited licenses” and that Linden Lab was in fact the owner of all virtual items.

If approved this class action suit will most likely be in the millions of dollars and have a large effect on the terms of service in Second Life.
