IBM Multi-million Contract with Fashion Research Institute using OpenSim
Despite IBM using Garage Games Torque for the Forbidden City, IBM is still moving forward with OpenSim and Second Life. IBM recently signed a multi-million contract with Fashion Research Institute.
The Fashion Research Institute alreay operates an OpenSim server as well as five islands in Second Life. It is only natural that they would want to proceed with OpenSim, IBM, and Second Life. The Fashion Research Institute is looking to continue virtual fashion design, and establish itself as a design industry pioneer while also cutting costs.
