Goodbye Orientation Island - Hello Direct SLurl
Linden Labs is rolling out Direct SLurl as a way to explore the location you want in the virtual world of Second Life. This speeds up the process and bypasses Help Island or Orientation Island and instead you arrive at whatever destination peaked your interest in the first place.
But how will you know what to do? Well the tutorial comes to you instead of the other way around. Direct SLurl can also help for event promotion and can be sent through email or web links, etc.
Another big improvement is that you can now create your own branding for a customized Slurl.com page.
