All Advertisements to be Removed from Second Life Mainland by October 1, 2008

I have written before about the crackdown on ads in Second Life. Linden Lab is no longer allowing Network Advertising on the Mainland without a written agreement.

Those currently doing so have until October 1, 2008 to remove any advertisements. The main crack down is against ad farms but Linden Lab requires a written advertiser license for any type of advertisment.

Locations, number of ads, and rules on how ads can look will be inforced. How will the mainland respond? What are your thoughts?
