Second Life Grid Updates Coming
The Second Life Grid is going to be updated soon. Grid stability has long plagued this virtual world. Frank Ambrose, new Senior VP of Global Technology commented that he is bringing his experience from AOL to improve things. I am glad to see that hardware is beeing replaced. Regular updates should follow.
Hopefully different storage solutions can speed up asset performance and reliability. Changes to network connections and infrastructure will be made to speed transactions (although a loss of some encryption might occur). I look forward to the other updates and coming changes to the Second Life Grid.
