SLim instant messaging client to connect virtual worlds and real life launches

Linden Lab released SLim. SLim is a partnership with Vivox to create an instant messaging client for use and to replace the current old one in Second Life. The best feature of the SLim instant messenger application is that it can be used outside of the virtual world application to communicate with those inside it. This is a tremendous feature for both businesses and avatars looking to stay in touch with their friends and family. Vivox is also being used in Everquest and Star Wars Galaxies. This is pretty cool.

  3. SLim hasn’t yet been released. Linden Lab has only announced that SLim will be released at some time in the future. As for the product, it is a Vivox product, not a Linden Lab product.
