Problems hit this weekend
Problems hit this weekend. There were many problems this weekend. A ISP and routing problem brought down Second Life. Logins were disabled most of Saturday. The outages lasted for at least 12 hours on this day. After logins were restored problems continued with telports, objects, scripts, rendering, rezzing, transactions, mapping, and more. Several regions had continuing outages. Inventory was slow and the asset servers experienced problems. The problems contimued into Sunday and a database cluster was changed. Linden Labs made several attempts to decrease database load by disabling several features. There were many group problems and profile problems. A new simulator was released. Group and Profile services were down through Monday. A rolling restart and patch then began with multiple restarts all week long. Transactions and logins were still iffy. Then an upgrade of the central database system was announced for Wednesday. Wow problems amundo!
