Second Life Update

Here is an interesting application for Second Life. The public library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County, in North Carolina, USA is allowing users to pay late fees in Second Life using linden dollars. A library user enters their PLCMC card number and an automated machine checks the balances. The balance can then be paid in full or partially. I can see many other similar applications like this such as utility companies allowing payments to be made in Linden Dollars, etc.
