The Linden Labs Second Life identity verification system
The Linden Labs Second Life identity verification system is designed to verify simple information (much of it public ally available). But can the Linden Labs Second Life identity verification system really create trust as it is intended? It looks like the Second Life identity verification system will create some kind of rank that should instill confidence. But so did eBay. And we all know that the eBay rating system can be completely spoofed, faked, altered, and hijacked. I have purchased items from and eBay account with thousands of transactions and zero negative comments and STILL been scammed. I wouldn’t put this past Linden Labs to immediately sell demographic information and eventually require real names and real identities in Second Life.
