The Dune Experience
If you have ever read the book Dune, or seen the Dune movie then you will be excited to visit the virtual roleplaying sim Dune. The homeworld of Arrakis has been created as a baren world. There are actually two Dune roleplaying sims in Second Life: Dune Imperium and Dune Apocalypse sims. The Dune Splintered Rock desert outpost is also available as of September. The scene is complete with a spice mine and smugglers caves. I had my hopes up to see a Giant Spice Worm leaping through the sand but I did not see any upon my visit. Maybe on the next visit I will be lucky enough (or unlucky enough depending on how you view the Spice Worms).
