Rolling Restart and Update
The rolling restart finally happened at 3:00 pm Mountain Time with each region in Second Life given a five minute warning before the rolling restart began. The entire process took five hours with massive downtime in Second Life. A few of the Second Life regions did not restart automatically and had to be restarted by Linden Labs engineers manually. Here is your Second Life Update for October 1, 2007. There are currently 35,236 avatars online in Second Life. There was $1,286,469 spent online in the last twenty four hours. The total number of avatars logged in during the last 7 days is 440,873 with a total number of avatars in Second Life of 9,806,906.
