Second Life Update: Data Loss

Second Life Update: Data Loss. Linden Labs is reporting high levels of packet loss (lost data) when transferring between the Second Life Dallas Texas collocation facility and the Second Life San Francisco collocation facility. This data loss or packet loss is disrupting logins to the Second Life grid and is resulting in very slow performance. Linden Labs is attempting to reroute the data using a different method. The ability to cross a border may be disabled and direct teleporting may be required over traditional methods of border crossing such as flying or walking over the border. No word if driving at the border full speed in a red convertible makes any difference. After about 3 hours of problems the issue seems to be slowly correcting.
