Second Life Update

SecondLife said in their blog Monday that they will be forever eliminating manditory viewer updates allowing backward and forward compatability of the viewers by updating the way SecondLife handels a viewer template.

Actually, security viewer patches updates will still be manditory but it does sound nice and will eliminate some of the constant manditory downloads that have plagued users for so long.

It seems the open source method is slowly moving SecondLife in the right direction.
