In case you haven’t noticed, there has been an explosion of MMORPG games that have entered the video game world. MMORPG stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games, which means a game that is played by thousands to millions of people at one time in a virtual world that never ends.

World of Warcraft is the most popular, Sims Online, Guild Wars, Everquest, Final Fantasy XII etc. People pay up to $15 a month playing these never ending games. There are so many people playing these games that they have a market economy. Goods and services can be sold, in real life, for real money. The aforementioned games, however, forbid this practice as it is deemed cheating because the companies are jealous they don’t get a piece of the pie. So how do you make money? There are many MMORPGs that allow you to sale stuff for real money and they have no monthly fee.

The easiest and cheapest seems to be Second Life. 200,000 players and $50,000+ USD dollars traded everyday. Imagine a game that is real life. That’s how Second Life basically operates. Everything in the game players designed, using art tools and scripting language. Anyone can build houses, cars, grass, walls, balls, (insert real life). There is no point to the game, but there are infinite things to do. So how can you make money? You can sell stuff. That’s not that easy to do since you need skill in design, art and/or coding. The easiest way is to sit on chairs on other people’s property. The owners of the land get an incentive for people being at their place so they make chairs so people will sit there. They pay you 10-50L or $.033-$.16 every ten minutes. This equals to about $0.20-$1 an hour US dollars. This is a guaranteed, skilless, albeit tedious way to make money. You can find other ways to make money, but this is the simplest way to make money playing video games, period, without breaking any video game laws, that a monkey could do.
