Why is it that every news story validates its headline with the phrase: “according to a new study”? New studies come out constantly and continually contradict each other but in each news story it is cited as if it were an irrefutable breakthrough.

According to an old study, 95% of all newspaper journalists are complete sellouts motivated by misinformed personal agendas.

“A new study”…. how was the study done?, who performed the study?, was there a control group?, what controls were used?, did you disregard any ‘outlier’ data that would have proved your study wrong?, how were participants randomly selected?, how much money was your reasearch team paid? who paid for the study?

Whether the Simpson’s said it or not I am crediting them: “80% of people know you can make up statistics”. And apparently only I know that any study can be formed and manipulated on purpose or by accident at any stage from conception to the front page solely for the purpose of keeping researchers busy or in the green or serving personal agendas.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the same research group published opposite findings 2 years later.

So with that said here are my shocking research study results:

Study criteria:

1. Study performed by secondlifeupdate.com using 1 test subject monitored for a 15 minute period in which he wrote an article based on misinformation and personal agenda

2. This was after a co-worker mocked him and took an opposite viewpoint.

3. No control group was used.

4. Actually that guy across the room was used but we didn’t ask him any questions or monitor him in any way.

5. We disregarded an outlier 1 minute in which the journalist reconsidered and deleted the article.

6. A 5% margin of error was developed at a whim.

7. Thus we have a statistic that 95% of all newspaper journalists are complete sellouts motivated by misinformed personal agendas.

Publish that on the front page of the newspaper.
